I don't know of anyone that shoots a Mossberg. Everyone that I have shot with or know that shoots either has a Remington or a Savage. I'm just trying to decide between a Mossberg MVP LR or a Savage 10FCP. Their prices are fairly close to each other.

Look into a vaise brake. I have a 11lb R700 7mag (loaded with bipod), and that brake is the only reason I still own the gun. Before I put it on it, I couldn't shoot more than a couple of times before I would call it quits. Now it kicks significantly less than my DPMS LR308.

I would assume it's a standard 1:9 twist like most other 7mags. It was being used with 162 Amax and 168 Berger hunting VLD bullets while it was on the rifle.

It does not have a muzzle break on it, and is a blued finish.
