Here in east central KS (cattle country) we have plenty of coyotes. I took my first one with an 03A3 in 1991. Since then I have taken them with 222, 223, 30 Herrett Contender, and my latest coyote gun; a scoped 30 Carbine Ruger Blackhawk. like you, I rarely pass up a coyote.

My DPMS is now all DPMS, I traded the DS upper for a 24" Stainless DPMS upper. So far shoots just as well; looks better though!

I used to think that too, my first wife ensured that I will work until I am at least 66. I just turned 58 so I still have a few years of work left. Luckily, good health runs in my family so I can still do whatever I want, even if it may not be as fast as I want.
