    Are three shot groups valuable?

In my experience, the first shot warms up the barrel. Depending on the quality of the barrel, the next two may print differently. I know a guy who fires a warm up round before firing the next three for a three round engagement. For a better read, I prefer a 5 shot group. My two cents.

    45 ACP on Brown Bear.????

44 Mag or bigger. 45ACP was designed to stop humans, not angry bears.

.223 Remington semiauto rifles that don't look like ARs

Ruger Mini 14. My brother owned one. Very reliable, but accuracy takes some tweaking.

.223 Remington semiauto rifles that don't look like ARs

I had a student in my Colorado mountain High School welding class that had a Ruger Mini 14 with a 30 round magazine. It was in the gun rack of his pickup, which was in my welding shop. 1987. Yup, you can get higher capacity magazines for it.

Having hell with my new 300win

If someone else hasn't already covered it, you might check to see how true the bolt face is. Look for ware marks on the bolt lugs. Also take a good look at the barrel crowning. I had a new Bagara that was sent back to the factory for those two reasons. They also lapped the barrel while it was...

    AR 10 DPMS feeding issues

I have owned two gas guns, RR Arms in 223 and Aero in 6.5 Grendel. Never had feed problems with the Rock River. I fought with the Grendel plenty. It never James, but failed to shut the bolt, or eject. A different buffer spring and gas block adjustment solved that. Also, new mags have very heavy...

    Trying to decide on caliber

I field dressed a nice bull taken with a 300 Savage within a 100 yards. One shot. I have a good friend who admitted taking a nice cow with a 22-250 when his dad grabbed his 270. It all depends on how far out you plan to shoot. I think your 300 WSM is a good choice. It leaves little to worry about.

Do you use sealer or moisture sealer on your reloads?

No. I reload for my rifles and pistols. Been reloading for about 15 years. I hunt and target shoot in the rain when necessary. Never had problems with moisture. Had a bad primer once that caused me to lose a little 8 pt.buck. That's been it.

Do you remember the first centerfire rifle you fired and do you reload for that caliber today?

Model 1894 Winchester 32 Special. First gun I bought at age 14. Never reloaded for it. Bought a Ruger 77 in 7x57 and traded the 32 Sol. For a shotgun. Not Smart

Should we start to boycot these high prices?

If the shelves fullback up, that might work.I have a friend who is an engineer for Federal cartridge. He said they have trouble getting enough workers to fill shifts, but that they are running around the clock. I asked if they were concentrating on government contracts. He told me that...

    Can't argue with that group.
