I've never had a problem with ttsx, I shoot 150 grain barnes through my .300 win mag @3460 and never, I said never ruined meat or had one run, one shot one kill, shot placement is key.

I've never had a problem with the ttsx barnes I shoot a .300 win mag, barnes 155 grain @3466, for elk and deer, they have never let our crew of 10 down ever, they are the most accurate round made. Thanks, have a nice day.

Couldn't you just use the 300win.? We run the 150 grain, Barnes tsx which seems to be effective at 3460, 3 rounds at 100yds, tearing at the same hole, or inside a quarter. Just sayin', I can't afford a lot of different guns, so I try to improve on the ones I have, have a nice day.

Garycrow thank-you very much for that information, I'll give the 105's a try then, first I need to save up for oprics that will allow me to see that far, my vx-2 won't cut it, thanks for heading me in the right direction, I can work up some loads for that bullet till then, thanks

sorry, your right, my interest is more on shooting, I was just chiming in on the other, sorry. I know there are more efficient calibers for a 1,000 yds., my 300win mag definitely is, but my reason for this post is just to find a 1,000 yrd recipe for my .243, I know, eventually I will find one...
