For your 450 Bushmaster use Cutting Edge Bullet 240 gr. Raptor....I've shot a bunch and have several clients use them also.....farthest any bear has gone is 30 feet most just roll over at the shot....I even shot a 600 lb. dressed bear with one "BANG" and fell over.....

Just my opinion but a Winchester 70 CFR is the only rifle I own all other rifles are just not 100% reliable and I have in the distant past owned many of them....

I handload have never fired a factory round in the 450 Bushmaster.....loading a round by dropping the bolt exerts a lot of pressure almost like using a kinetic bullet puller....another thing to remember theres no crimp grove that can be used to hold the bullet in place also the case head spaces...
