Holes in paper don’t lie - chronographs can fool you. Shoot that same rifle-load etc over one of the new Garmin Chrony’s and the SD will be less. Labradar and Garmin use different algorithms to calculate their SD’s.
I know you didn’t ask this but:
If you self impose a max of 300 yds I’d consider just getting a factory light Tikka in 6.5 PRC, stick all the extra savings into glass, mounts, components and practice. It’ll do that every time, every day.
“3) The original will remain in production alongside the LX so both will still be available”
If their sales of the original LR don’t go in the tank I’ll be very surprised.
If the new LR is twice as good as their original it still won’t be able to compete with the Garmin simplicity , reliability, user friendliness, service and app usage. Been there - done that.
Not everyone is concerned with velocity down range but to each their own. If you’ve ever dealt with LR on questions, warranty or service you'll run - not walk - from ever having to deal with LR again when Garmin is the competitor of choice.
In my Buddy‘s case the USPS were not involved- it was all through the internet. The purpose of my post was up until now I was not as leery if they took credit cards but the scammers are now figuring that angle out also.
