if i had to pick one it would be my steyr pro hunter in 7mm-08. It is more than capable of handling of 99% of the deer hunting i do. it is lightish in weight and handles very well
I have a very simple approach to what i wear when hunting. If its hot outside it has to help keep me cool. If it is cold it has to keep me warm. and if it is wet outside it has to keep me dry. i have so much mixed and matched camo its not even funny.
Living in south Louisiana I dont get many chances to see much less hunt in the snow. In the next year or two i would like to make a rifle deer hunt somewhere that has snow. What would be the best state to look into? Dont need to shoot a big buck (it would be nice) shooting a few does would do.
