    Barnes TTSX vs Nosler Accubonds

To me I can't really see the value of this expansion. Unless this is the end result of expansion, thus it had done it's job before looking like this. These bullets were recovered from a black bear.

    Lock'n'load AP with Lee dies

Hey John, I just went through this with Hornady. I also have Lock and load bushings from Hornady. Hornady told me that the bushing are for their press. My Lee collet die is longer than my FL die, so the FL isn't long enough. Lee told me that I can send back my Cast Press in...

My Brass is STUCK! /338 Edge Dies

Like the other guys said get a case removal kit... I used to use a RCBS case lube pad... but due to the limited use of it, I forget once in a while to replenish the pad. Neck sizing with a lee collet die, no lube is required. Upon searching for alternative lubes, I came upon Hornady One Shot...

Playing with some 270 loads for my brother

Jack O'Connors load was 60 grains of H4831 with 130 grain Speer hot core and I think he changed to Nosler Partitions. I used Hornady 130 grain SP (interlock) bullets with this load on whitetail, and they worked very well. Nosler BT's shoot the same, under an inch at 100 yards. Seems RL22 works...

    beyond 200 yards

Hi guys, I'm trying to load for 300 yards and possibly further depending on the progress of my gun club. I bought a Mcgowen savage varmint SS .243 win. 1:12, 26" barrel topped with a Bushnell 5-15x42 3200 elite. Recently I got a Boyd thumbhole too. Along with a large savage bolt...

    bedding vids

I was wondering if there is a comprehensive video, that shows bedding from start to finish, that's free. I pick up things along the way, that makes it easier, like masking rather than using puddy to fill in the reciever, and other places where ya don't want the bedding material to fill in...

I firgued as much... when I saw the factory brass. Although I've loaded start loads before , but not 55 grainers. That's prolly why I never seen sooty brass. Thanks.

    sooty cases

Hi all, I recently installed a Mcgowen varmint barrel on my Savage 11 .243 . I took it to the range with some handloads and factory loads. The factory loads shot fine, no soot. But my handloads had blowby on the brass and the bolt face. The primer looked fine, it didn't back out, so I'm assuming...

    bullet weights

I just got my McGowen 1:12 .243 win varmint barrel, with a 11 degree crown... McGowen says the bullet weight max is 85 grains.... the rep told me 85 is the best... In your experience can I go lower? I have 55 grainers and up to 90.
