    Single-shot VS. repeater action

It's conceivable that there's an old prone record on the obsolete "5V" target that is still held by a Model 70 simply because the target is not used anymore. That possible bit of history has no bearing on current shooting performance in any discipline.

SOLD/EXPIRED WTB: Left Hand Rem 700 Bolt

I have a Chiocca Machine (Precision Shooting advertiser) Remington 700 LH, LA Bolt with a .473 face. Bolt is bare (no firing pin, spring or shroud). Unertl BV-20 Parallax Adjustment

Obtained one of these scopes (without instructions) and would appreciate instructions on adjusting parallax. I see the 50/200 mark on the tube and the 0-9 markings on the ring, but have no idea what they mean. Your help is appreciated.

    Porting barrels

Mossberg has shotgun barrels with ports (a series of round holes) on the top near the muzzle. They do keep the barrel down so that follow up shots are quicker. I guess I can perceive a slight reduction in felt recoil also, but I believe limiting muzzle jump is the main purpose.

    Portable Shooting Bench

Thanks for your input fellows. Gives me alot of food for thought this coming winter so I'll be ready for spring. Farm is in Wilmore, PA. I live in Virginia and don't get up to the farm as much as I'd like, but with retirement not too far off that may change.

    LAW ENFORCEMENT RUN AMOK

Sorry for any offense. Please note that I refered specifically to "law enforcement leadership" and many of them do not support gun ownership. IMHO

    LAW ENFORCEMENT RUN AMOK

With hundreds of thousands of illegals flooding into this country, the law enforcement leadership is concentrating on harassing law abiding gun owners! From today's VCDL VA-ALERT. For those of you not in VA, you can still follow the instructions below, as it will work with all 50 states: In...

    Firearm Insurance

Inquire of the NRA. The insurer that handles the minimal insurance that's part of membership benefits will write a policy for whatever you need. Records are not kept for firearms of less than $1500 value. As I recall the rate may be less than $3.50/$100.
