Replacement trigger for L/H Rem X Mark Pro

My buddy has a left hand Rem 700 SPS Varmint in 17 Fireball with what he tells me is a non adjustable X Mark Pro trigger. The trigger is absolutely dreadfull and he wants to replace it with something considerably lighter, the current trigger is all but useless an a small varmint gun. I said he...

    Lothar Walther barrel reviews?

Brits barrel is not a dog, it just does not like game bullets, i shot tiny 100yd groups with Brits rifle using 100g Sierra Matchkings and 115g Berger match VLDs, i keep on telling him you cant say its a bad barrel just because it does not like the game bullets you have tried, Brit is aslo aware...

Will a 257 Wby Reamer Clean Up a 25-06 Chamber?

sambo, you contender barrel can easily be re-chambered in 257 weatherby, the cartridge is longer and fatter then the 25-06 and will completely remove all traces of the old chamber. I must disagree with what has been said about re-chambering to 25-06 AI, the barrel must be sat back to do a...

    Fox shooting

The current Sako 85 is definitely a cut above most other bolt action rifles bar one. In 2004 i was looking for a new varmint rifle and was set on a Sako 75 Stainless varmint in 22-250, so i phoned up my local gunshop and they said that the importer had one in stock and they could have it in the...

    Fox shooting

Hey up Sittin duck, i had the same model 75 as you but in 270, i have also carried out work on friends wood stocked 75s and 85s and i can honestly say that the fit and finish of the 75 is noticably better then the 85 or put it another way the fit and finish on the 85 is noticably not as good s...

Let's see your Varmint rifles !

.........its in my bag mate, i hate the **** things and only use one when requested to do so by the landowner, they completely destroy the lines of a fine rifle and have no place in photos:) Ian.

IMO the 85s are not quite as well made or as nice as the 75. Ian.

Let's see your Varmint rifles !

Here are a couple of pics of my .22BR It started life as a 22-250 AI when i built it in 2007 but i got bored of my dallience with speed and hankered for more accuracy so towards the end of 2011 i decided to re-barrel in somethnig more accurate. Action is an early single shot Stiller...

    Tikka Rebarrel

I dont know about the LSA 55 but the current T3 and previous 590/595 and 690/695 are in fact a 1"(.992"-.995" actually) x 16 tpi 60 degree thread form. Ian.

    Some Stiller Predator questions

I am using a single shot Stiller Predator with a Rifle Basix trigger and it does indeed have a side mounted bolt release. You wont be able to use the bottom bolt release because there are no slots machined in the action for this type of bolt release to fit. Ian.

    Gunsmithing Lathe

I recently re-barreled my 22-250 to 22BR and my shooting buddies 1:9 twist 223 to a 1:12 twist .223 AI. This time both barrels were done using the through the headstock method and later shortened to the required length on the steady. I made a 4 point spider to fit on the rear of the spindle...

Let's see your Varmint rifles !

Hi bullet bumper, nice work mate, i am a machinist yet i dont possess either the motivation or dedication to produce something like that, i really wish i did, give yourself a pat on the back. I have a mate just like you an exceptional machinist better then most i worked with, he builds his own...
