308 would be your best choice

ladder test was good,,up 10 moa shots touching line,,,up 20 moa,,,1/4 off line center to center....so I don't know what made it do what it did that day,,,but I feel better knowing its not the scope cant....thanks all for helping....

it looked level when I looked thru scope...but apparently it was not...

I mounted a scope on my gun, don't have a high dollar level, just normal level from hardware store,,put gun in vice got it level, mounted scope got it level...go sight it in 100yards...dead on bullet in bullet,,,, go to 300 yard target,, shoots 3 inches to the right...let friend shoot,,,make...
