was there any chance they could have winded you? first thing a coyote is gona try and do is get down wind of where the call is coming from so they can hone in on it. and if you put the call downwind of you that is wher they are gona go.......

aww heck, i missed that part. i guess that would change things alittle bit. in my opinion, i do think some people tend to call alittle to much to quick. and i always keep the aggresive stuff for the end if possible. all though it would most likely work due to breeding season getting fired up...

thats probly the problem, try using some kind of decoy. give them something to look at. they're probly just hangin-up in the brush. them coyotes get smart after a while.

i dont think i would use to tight of a choke with that #4 buck. i think a modified would be plenty just to be careful. pattern it and see what it does.

i guess the only thing you could try is a male challenge howl and try to **** them off ,act like ur there to take their girls from them, but by the way it sounds that probly wouldnt work either. i figured the rabbit distress would be a sure thing hands down. stay with it........
