rooster,
I talked with your friend. He is a very nice guy. I wish I could afford to hire him as he seems to know the country quite well. He gave me some good advice. Good luck this season and let me know how you do!gun)
agent cooper,
I did have them build me a complete system and it does shoot lights out with the factory ammo. My loads shoot great as well as far a groupings go just a considerable amount of variance in the velocities lately with both the newer factory ammo and the loads. I am seriously thinking...
gun)agent cooper,
I couldn't agree more. Between the gun, scope, rangefinder, brasss, bullets etc I to have a small fortune invested and am a little dissapointed that I am having so much trouble getting the quality components that I need. Factory ammo is not only way to expensive to shoot but I...
Greyfox,
Thanks for the great post! I have the original and love it. I always like to upgrade but for the money I think i am going to stick with my original BR2 for now. I really do appreciate all the effort you have put into this and for sharing it with us.
Wow I weighed my brass last night and from a bag of 100 brand new pieces. I didn't have more than six pieces that were the exact same weight. I don't know what the tolerances is or honestly what I should even be looking for but the weight went from 257.7 to 265.1 grains. Roughly half of the bag...
The velocity spread on the factory was 17fps. Average Speed 3009fps
The velocity spread of one ten shot string of my own loaded ammo was 37fps. Average Speed 3003fps
The velocity spread of a different batch of my own loaded ammo was 48fps. Average Speed 3064fps
Two different lots of brass...
gun)Wow great post. I too have a 7mm LRM from Gunwerks and have been having some fits with my factory loaded ammunition. I was told it was a brass issue and that they were getting it worked out with Hornady.
I have been lucky so far with my reloads as they have all shot dead on. My max velocity...
I would have to say if the conditions warrant it and I can't get any closer I will pull the trigger on an animal comfortably out to 800 yards. If the conditions are perfect and I have along a spotter that I can trust with making wind calls at the target I might try and stretch it to 1000. With...
After 24 years of applying I finally drew the tag that is #1 on my bucket list a Rocky Mountain goat tag. Unfortunately I live in the Bitterroot Mountains and have been applying there for the last 23 years with no luck. The population of goats in the Bitterroot range have taken a turn for...

My scope height is 1.75" from center of barrel.
Yes I did use the exact same rest for all of the shooting.
The 950 yard target is at an elevation of 3715, the Bench is at 3625
Wind was crossing from Left to Right at about 6-7 Miles per hour based on my Kestrel 2500
Thanks for all the great...
I was wondering if anyone out there has ever experienced a similar problem whiles shooting at longer distances like the one I am going to describe. I recently purchased a long range custom rifle and have a Nightforce scope installed with a custom turret as well as a custom range finder from G-7...
The guns appears to shoot pretty good. I have only tried three different loads in it so far and they all shoot under (1) inch, but no real tack drivers yet. The trigger is crisp and clean with no creep! It is a little barrel heavy but all in all I like it!
I was wondering if anyone has tried any of the Berger bullets in the 22-250 and what kind of results you had in both accuracy and on predator's. I am currently loading Berger in one of my large hunting rifles but have yet to try them in the smaller calibers. Any information that you can give me...
