KG2 bore paste. I use carbon eliminator to get loose stuff out with nylon brush. I then use VFG bore pellets on end of special adapter and after 5 stokes I can wash out with bore tech eliminator.

It will not hurt any to cut into flutes. I did it on mine and wanted proper thread depth so you have to cut into flutes for proper depth. Only cosmetic cutting into flutes. Now if you want to use the ats tuner then you will need Threads longer than 1/2 inch thats for sure as the threads on...
Oh I see what you are saying. I thought maybe you were talking about after firing. I k n ow lots of guys run into this with all different brass. I use peterson and love them but of course anneal maybe the best answer for you.
The end of necks like to kinda crimp in after a shot. I always chamfer the inside end of necks and then run through a mandrel before sizing. Do this to help each round be the same.
