My experience with suppressors (about 20 of them) is that depending on the gun and what you consider "hearing safe" you will have varying results. If you want complete suppression where you hear the firing pin fall and the bullet strike the target then y o u will need subsonic ammo and a can...

Since you'll were posting all this nice wood on your squirrel guns, I thought I'd post mine. I had thought about refinishing this one but something tells me the grain is maybe about as good as its gonna get! 😆

I spoke to a guy once who said he would take his barrel to the lathe and remove 0.020" and reshoot until his gun shot to his load instead of trying different loads... maybe start cutting your barrel down?

That's interesting and I suppose it's right. I just always thought it was powder and bullet differences. But the maybe it's the powder and bullet making the harmonic changes... learn something new every day

It sounds like there is pretty strong consensus that the Leica products are pretty solid from the guys that have them. Maybe I should look that direction. The binoculars I have now are 12x and I like them. I can't hold them steady but I think I still prefer them over less magnification...
