What do you shoot for bulk ammo?
I just purchased my first pistol, so I have no idea about it. I know I will purchase self defense ammo, but not sure about price of bulk ammo.
I figure I can load Berry bullets, CCI 500 primers with Bullseye for about $175 per 1,000 if I get 4 reloads out of...
I know this doesn’t fit the Long Range Hunting that this site is, however, I trust you guys more than any other forum.
I would like to start reloading for my Glock 19 (9mm). I recently started reloading for centerfire rifle, however, pistol seems to be fairly different.
What all do...
Now you know anything longer than 2.2320 will not chamber.
So I would bump that back .002 and call it a day.
You should also measure the web and document the ones that won’t chamber versus the ones that do. The rest of the case should be able to be sized appropriately.
You kind of asked two separate questions it seems.
In regards to are some bullets faster than other bullets of the same weight....the answer is yes. Each bullet has a different bearing surface, which is friction. So a short bearing surface bullet will have less drag and shoot faster than a...
My LTR’s (223 Rem and 308 Win) shoot amazingly well, even with factory ammo as you can see. As a new Reloader, they sure help build my confidence while I refine the “craft”. You won’t be disappointed. Although they have 20” barrels, they serve me extremely well and the accuracy to me is more...
I shot a pretty large WI doe last year (before I started Handloading) with the Federal Elite Hunter 308 Win loaded with the 168 gr Classic Hunter. Shot was just shy of 20” yards. The bullet entered her left shoulder bone just below the knuckle and exited just above the right knuckle through...
The seating will be based on a particular bullet correct?
Powder doesn’t matter though? That is good to know. I’m guessing that is why the Berger seating method just uses minimum seating, which is what I did. Do you always start all your load work up at a manual minimum for seating...
I would say seating depth is dependent on bullet as a course adjustment at low powder charge.
Powder test is fine tuning the group in relation to velocity and barrel harmonics.
However, I am far from an expert.
What have you all experienced with lot to lot variance with these bullets? Are you doing a complete full load work up or back off slightly and work back up?
Any information would be greatly appreciated.
