    Reloading 9mm

What do you shoot for bulk ammo? I just purchased my first pistol, so I have no idea about it. I know I will purchase self defense ammo, but not sure about price of bulk ammo. I figure I can load Berry bullets, CCI 500 primers with Bullseye for about $175 per 1,000 if I get 4 reloads out of...

    Reloading 9mm

Hey all, I know this doesn’t fit the Long Range Hunting that this site is, however, I trust you guys more than any other forum. I would like to start reloading for my Glock 19 (9mm). I recently started reloading for centerfire rifle, however, pistol seems to be fairly different. What all do...

Brass a bit stiff when chambering....at my wits end. Help!

This makes zero sense. Gradually backing the due out would cause more bolt resistance as you would be sizing the case less and less. Steve

Brass a bit stiff when chambering....at my wits end. Help!

    It doesn’t compress.

Brass a bit stiff when chambering....at my wits end. Help!

Now you know anything longer than 2.2320 will not chamber. So I would bump that back .002 and call it a day. You should also measure the web and document the ones that won’t chamber versus the ones that do. The rest of the case should be able to be sized appropriately. Steve

    Bullet speeds.

You kind of asked two separate questions it seems. In regards to are some bullets faster than other bullets of the same weight....the answer is yes. Each bullet has a different bearing surface, which is friction. So a short bearing surface bullet will have less drag and shoot faster than a...

Question for Imperial Dry Neck Lube users

I personally don’t apply it to the bullets, I apply it to the case necks. Just a quick dip and tap. I’ll be following to see what I can learn too. Steve

    7mm 168gr Berger Hybrid Hunter

My LTR’s (223 Rem and 308 Win) shoot amazingly well, even with factory ammo as you can see. As a new Reloader, they sure help build my confidence while I refine the “craft”. You won’t be disappointed. Although they have 20” barrels, they serve me extremely well and the accuracy to me is more...

    7mm 168gr Berger Hybrid Hunter

I shot a pretty large WI doe last year (before I started Handloading) with the Federal Elite Hunter 308 Win loaded with the 168 gr Classic Hunter. Shot was just shy of 20” yards. The bullet entered her left shoulder bone just below the knuckle and exited just above the right knuckle through...

I’m well aware of the history of this bullet. I’m interested if everyone is seeing big lot to lot variances with it. I ordered 500 of them to start. Steve

    Reloaded seating depth test....

Mikecr The seating will be based on a particular bullet correct? Powder doesn’t matter though? That is good to know. I’m guessing that is why the Berger seating method just uses minimum seating, which is what I did. Do you always start all your load work up at a manual minimum for seating...

    Reloaded seating depth test....

I would say seating depth is dependent on bullet as a course adjustment at low powder charge. Powder test is fine tuning the group in relation to velocity and barrel harmonics. However, I am far from an expert. Stevd

223 to 6.5cm bolt action conversion

Conversion? You would need a different bolt, barrel and bottom metal. Pretty basic question to a fairly complicated task. Good luck Steve

What have you all experienced with lot to lot variance with these bullets? Are you doing a complete full load work up or back off slightly and work back up? Any information would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Steve
