It can and will. I dont know any specifics, but I think my buddy is using an 89 grn bullet in his pet .223 hog loads.

I caught a bunch crossing a skidder trail in E TX a few years ago and popped a 125 lb sow at some where between 275 and 300 yards with a .270. I stepped it off but couldnt walk directly to it. On the other hand the closest was a 175 lb boar at 6 feet with a recurve and a 2 bladed Timberwolf...

Thanks for the replies so far. There is no time limit on this project since I have to do it as my pocket money finances allow. I have in my mind's eye how I want it to look. I hope I can make it shoot to match. And this is an older model 700.
