Thanks yall. I believe ive made the decision to go with the VX2. Im gonna give as many of them a good look through that i can. Now to get my money together. Lol
So i have a quick question about my turret rotations and keeping up with it. The scope i have has horizontal lines numbered 1,2,etc. it comes from factory dead even at 4 as opposed to being at 0 or 1. Since this is to keep up with number of rotations would it be easier to crank it all the way...
What about the Zeis Terra? I can get the 3-9x40 just barely under 300 not counting tax. This i am assuming is Zeis' bottom line scopes, so im wondering if i would be getting the same as bottom line vortex?
Im trying to find an after market stock for my savage 10. Id love to find a bell and carlson sporter. I just cant seem to find anything that isnt wood or tacticool. Any help folks? If it helps this is the blind mag short action.
Thanks yall. Ill look into burris. On a seperate note, does anyone know where i can find an aftermarket stock for a savage model 10? Id like a bell and carlson sporter but can only find them for the 110 long actions? Im wanting a sporter/ monte carlo style. Not anything tacticool.
Thanks folks. Im gonna look at both the vx1 and vx2 as soon as i can to decide for sure. From what ive heard the older vx1 were lacking quite a bit, but the newer ones are on par with what the vx2 used to be? And ofcourse the vx2 is better than the vx1.
Thanks. Im still kind of leaning toward the leupold vx1, but not sold yet. I like the diamondback. Atleast what im hearing anyways. Im gonna try to get my hands on all of them soon and see for sure.
Thanks! Ill look into that one. I have really had just the traditional style scope in mind. As opposed to exposed turrets as i wont be dialing in. Ill be looking into it though!!
Im looking at getting a nice 3-9x40. I currently have a 4-12x40 mildot prostaff nikon and i just dont need it. Ive came to terms that my farthest shot on a good day will be 250-300 yards. I used a 3-9x40 bushnell and it did everything i wanted. Im going with a 3-9x40 its just a matter of what...
My useage would be a mixture or range and hunting. 700 is pushing the most id be able to find hunting as far as distance, but the range i go to has a rifle range of 1340yds. So i play there some times. The savage is one of the newer model 10s with the plain tupperware stock. Im just thinking of...
Okay guys stock rifle to stock rifle, which would you choose to throw a scope on and take out to 700yds and under? I have a savage 10 that i really love. Accutrigger is amazing, but the factory stock leaves much to be desired. My father has an older weatherby vanguard thats built solid. You can...
Thanks for all the info guys! Just wonderin, has anybody tried a suppressor with a factory sporter barrel? The factory barrel shoots the lights out right now so i prolly wont replace it for a good bit. Would that mess up the harmonics on the barrel too much or add too much barrel whip?
