    reloading presses???

I can only speak for myself, but I started out on a single stage press and enjoy the hobby of handloading, that I am not in a hurry to finish so many rounds in so and so time. I don't shoot competition so my many trials, for handguns, are different hard cast bullets, soft or swaged lead bullets...

Hunting / Target load for 30-06

What kind of powder was that 57.7grn load with? Still the 165 grn. bullet? Bill

Hunting / Target load for 30-06

I think a regular primer should be fine with any of the powders you might use. I have heard of very good accuracy with 180grn bullets and VN560 in the 06 but not sure about the 165grn. My favorite powder for the 165grn is IMR4350 but Hod. or AA will work also. Bill

    Military Surplus Powders

The AA2230-C is military surplus ball powder and a 8lb jug was selling for about $55 from Natchez. I bought a jug of it awhile back to go along with the jugs of AA4350 and 4064 they had on special. BM Bill

    7 mm saum

In my 7WSM, my favorite powders have been RL-19 & 22 and WXR with the bullet weights you mention. The 4350's and 4831's work well also. BM Bill

    7mmWSM Loads

I've had a A-Bolt in 7WSM for a little over two years and have tried a bit of everything in it. My favorite powders have been WXR, RL-19 & 22 for the 140-150-160+ bullets. Have even loaded as much H870 as I could get packed into the case with a 175grn bullet seated and got a little over...

IMR powders are dressed up like Hodgdon's!

Re: IMR powders are dressed up like Hodgdon\'s! I don't think Hodgdon ever made their own powder and since they've bought IMR I've been curious to see if they let IMR make some of the Hod. #'s. I think IMR is made in Canada though so who knows? I think all Hod. Extreme powders are made in...

Who is using VihtaVuori 500 series powders

I've got a 2lb can of the 540, 550, and 560. Have only had a chance to try a few loads with these powders but did have a load for my 30-06 using 150grn bullets and VN550 that did a little over 3000fps out of a 22" sporter barrel without any pressure signs and using less than the max VV data. leupold vs. simmons which is better?

Surely this is a joke. I've never had a Simmons scope of the modest cost range hold up to any recoil over the 22 rimfire. BM Bill PS: edit-The title of this post seemed like a joke and lured me in. [ 11-01-2004: Message edited by: BlueMoon ]

    Need suggestions for 7mm bullet

In my A-Bolt 7WSM, I've found a load that's pretty accurate with the 160 accubond and 66.0grns of RL-22 for a tad over 3000fps. Don't like to push that long bullet down into the case that far to reach the magazine length of 2.860" but seemed to work OK in my rifle. BM Bill [ 11-01-2004...

    SOLD/EXPIRED Remington .223 & Remington 30/30

Tallyman, Couldn't send e-mail or pm. Message said it was blocked. Wondering what the barrel lengths are on those two rifles and if you might be interested in trading the 223 for a very clean 788 7-08 with a 18 1/2" barrel with fairly new Nikon Buckmaster scope 3X9X40. BM Bill [ 06-17-2004...

    Recoil pad on a PSS

Ceejack, Not much help, but I just put a Limbsaver on my Browning A-Bolt that was supposed to be pre-fit. When I got the pad it came with two screws and I didn't see any on the A-Bolt's factory pad. Checked around several forums and found that my factory pad had hidden screws under little slits...

    MRP-2 Powder ...Need it!

I was just looking at Graff's web site and also got a new catalog from them. It looks like the Norma powders are in the close-out section. They listed 200, 201, 202, 204, and MRP-2 all marked down. BM Bill
