Tac 15 Blew Up. Please help?

I agree! The bow should be able to withstand consistent shooting and temp variations.

    Explain This Please

That's a good point on the vaccume theory. Although I think with the direction the hair was flying at least to me, indicates that is was kinda "chopped". But heck who knows.. I've seen that video you're referring to, crazy huh.. lol

    Explain This Please

I've paused the video at the very moment of impact several times and took this screen shot. This hair that came off is at the very top of the goat, and I believe that your bullet came in so high that it actually grazed him at the pinnacle or just on the other side and went down. That's why you...

Tac 15 Blew Up. Please help?

I used to bow hunt... a LOT. But haven't in years. I'm just curious and probably wrong. But did you experience a big temp change like, getting out of a warm truck into a very cold environment or something like that? I've never seen a bow experience a limb failure like this. I also want to say...

Shoot big game from the road/vehicle in wyoming?

The shooting across a highway sounds crazy.. I'm surprised any state would allow that! Some guys don't practice enough to know their dope, lol.

Shoot big game from the road/vehicle in wyoming?

I live in Wyoming. I believe the law/hunting regs state you have to have a special permit to hunt from a vehicle if you're handicapped. I have no problem with someone who's really handicapped, hunting for a vehicle. We have a lot of roads for that kind of thing. But I'm not sure about non-res...

    Clean Loaded Brass?

I tumble my brass after shooting. Then I do all my bass prep, then tumble again. Then I load and shoot. Anything more is OCD and time wasted IMO.

Brass is hard to chamber after full-length resize

Just reading you're OP. I was going to suggest either your die isn't sizing all the way down, or, your chamber is cut on the shorth side and your die isn't sizing down that far.

    Advice on next rifle purchase

That's actually a great idea. I'll say after these last 3 Savage rifles of which I only have 1 now and, its on its way back, I won't be looking at Savage anymore.

    Advice on next rifle purchase

Good grief! Looks like they carved out the action with a chisel!! Sounds like the chamber isn't milled straight! Or was milled with too tight a tolerance to allow easy extraction. I said the same yesterday about their history. It used to be 25 yrs ago that you couldn't give a Savage rifle away...

    Advice on next rifle purchase

I attached a screen shot from a year ago of my email asking their CS Sr. Rep telling me their accuracy standard for heavy barrels is 1" or better @ 100yd. I just got off the phone with someone at Savage discussing my current issue and he was telling me their accuracy standard is, 1.5" @ 100yd. I...
