after reading just about every topic on this entire sight, i have not yet read anything about ruger rifles good or bad. does anybody shoot, or modify rugers for long range? is there something that ruger does that is bad?

what's the practical difference between a laminated stock and a synthetic stock? i'm not yet shooting a flea at 1000 yards, but rather wanting to shoot a deer a 500-600 yards. would i notice a difference?
