varget powder and sierra 165 spitzers. also berger 168 vld hunting and 165 accubonds, I also have some 4064 powder.

can some one give me a starting and maximum powder range for lake city brass in 308? will be using 165 and 168 grain bullets and dont know the powder capacity of this brass.

loaded up some berger 168 vld hunting (.308) with 38.5 to 43.0 grnsof varget in.5 grain increments. went out and shot them today. found a good nodes in 3 or 4 different areas. 39.0, 42.0, and 42.5 grn loads shot the best 42 grn shot a .342" group and 42.5 shot a .313 group. Varget powder...

I have some 308 brass that measures in the 2.02 range. can i use this brass or does it need to be trimmed?

I bought a 70.00 work bench from northern tool and then modified it to fit my needs. Works great for me and cheap too.

Hey guys, Should I resize the necks of my brass if i pull the bullets after finding i made a mistake? Reloaded a couple and the neck tension seemed somewhat loose.

308, 180 accubond, federal or nosler brass, varget and imr 4064. please list your best load for this combo. I dont have the Nosler book yet.

i dump some cheap large containers of strawberry cool aid in my post hole mixed with the corn. big red soda would work just as well.

found a gun shop about 50 miles from me that has everything in stock, primers, powder, brass and bullets. well worth a cpl hrs of my time going there!

thanks 222, rockchucker supreme is what i have with rcbs dies. screw in till it touches and then a quarter turn.

Hey guys, fixing to start reloading for 308. Have almost everything except my sizing and seating dies. what do you recommend and why? Not sure if im going to do any "off the lands" stuff as im new to the game.

Does an FL sizing die have a neck sizer built in as well or do you need a separate die for neck sizing?
