I shot one doe in the backyard with the 123 ELD-M using my 6.5x47. Range was around 80 yards or so. Muzzle velocity is 2950ish. Deer made it about 20 yards and dropped. Massive damage inside the chest cavity.

That’s odd on the Dominus, because it has a shorter barrel rating for most other calibers vs the Ultra series. But it’s listed that way on their website 🤷‍♂️

I second the Dominus, but would also recommend the Ultra 7 due to it being a bit lower profile.

Whatever brand you decide on, try to make sure that’s it’s made with GoreTex. The seam tape is what usually fails first (due to delamination) and GoreTex seam tape just lasts so much longer than anything else out there. Also anything made with GoreTex has to pass rigorous inspection by GoreTex...
