Dad's always owned and collected factory rifles. Want to get him something special, budget is pretty wide open.
Looking for the BEST stuff that's readily available right now.
Looking for suggestions/opinions. Here's what I'm thinking now.
Stock - Not sure, I know he will not like something...
I am trying to get peoples opinions on the best scope for the above situation.
I put 100-200, however I have the possibility of a 300 yard shot in the hunting property where I would use this rifle.
Note: I do tend to be pulled towards Leupold brand, I am weirdly a "brand specific" person...
Does anyone here use any of the higher end vortex optics for their hunting rifles? If so, which one, and why did you choose it over other brands? (Leupold, Nightforce, etc.)
I recently just got my first custom rifle built around December of last year. I wanted to get some opinions on what everyone things or possibly would have done different. Looking at building another one later on this year, hopefully a little less weight as this one didn’t quite meet my target...
I did look at them, only thing I'm not a fan of is the forearm area has holes in it on boyd's stocks. Don't want those holes, just not aesthetically pleasing to me
I am looking for a stock similar to design and color to this one here, if you know anywhere I could get a good quality, and preferably lightweight stock similar to this, let me know!
Thanks a lot guys
Note - This has to be for a Remington 700 Short Action.
Hey guys I had a recent post on my new rifle build, and I wanted to get everyone’s opinions on whether they thought a 9lb rifle was too heavy. When I built this rifle it was intended to take out west on a elk hunt or similar. I have not physically had the scope and mounts off of the rifle to get...
Pretty sure the original post states, "What is your all's ideal carry weight for a rifle in each situation."
Not, "Whats the best carry weight for your rifle"
So therefor not a useless question. Its an opinion based question. Thanks
What’s your all’s ideal weight for a hunting rifle? Whether it’s a 100 yard walk to sit in a stand or to walk all over for hours at a time? Thanks guys let me know!!
Unfortunately no pictures at this time.
