I am trying to get peoples opinions on the best scope for the above situation. I put 100-200, however I have the possibility of a 300 yard shot in the hunting property where I would use this rifle. Note: I do tend to be pulled towards Leupold brand, I am weirdly a "brand specific" person...

Does anyone here use any of the higher end vortex optics for their hunting rifles? If so, which one, and why did you choose it over other brands? (Leupold, Nightforce, etc.)

I did look at them, only thing I'm not a fan of is the forearm area has holes in it on boyd's stocks. Don't want those holes, just not aesthetically pleasing to me

Believe weight is right around 9lbs

It does have a muzzle brake but I don’t leave it attached in its case.

Pretty sure the original post states, "What is your all's ideal carry weight for a rifle in each situation." Not, "Whats the best carry weight for your rifle" So therefor not a useless question. Its an opinion based question. Thanks
