    I'm a MOA shooter. I've heard mils is easier to use and judge the range on your target, but I have a range finder for that without doing the math.

    I've heard whitetail is the best but haven't had it yet. I've had mule deer and it was a little gamey. Mostly because of the sage in their diet.

    6.5 should be enough for elk with the right bullet and the right placement of it. I don't have personal experience it with though.

    My friend has used Hornady ELD-x's in his 300 win mag and they're great. No issues and doesn't destroy a lot of meat.
