    Good coyote call - non-electric?

I sure agree with this comment. I like critr calls, just got another from sportsmans this weekend.

    Which rifle & Calibur??

I use a 204 and love it. It hits plenty hard to down a coyote, and has minimal recoil. There are many options for a good coyote gun. I use anywhere from a 17hmr, 22mag, 204, 243. All of these calibers have killed yotes and none are hard on the shoulder. I've downed yotes at 100 yards with a...

    Rules for New Mexico

Then again, it would be easier to pass up when it is $345. That just seems like a lot of money for a potential fox or bobcat.............

    Rules for New Mexico

If you were interested in taking a fox, bobcat or other "protected furbearer" that may come to your call the non-resident license fee is $345. Just throwing that out there, it's hard to pass up a pretty fox or bobcat that comes to your coyote call. Nov 1 - Mar 15 are the open dates for...

    Rules for New Mexico

Scruffy depends on the time of year and location. There are some places where if you hunt early in the year. Here is one shot around September. Down here September is still warm, and the coats are still crappy, this was also a real old dog that needed denturs to eat with. Teeth were almost...

    First Aid Kit/Emergency Kit contents?

best thing for a snake bite is rapid medical attention. time spent with a snake bite kit is time wasted. Period, anti venom is whats needed. matter of fact, id rather rub chew on it for the vasoconstrictive effects, and haul *** to the nearest med facility.

    First Aid Kit/Emergency Kit contents?

From a Fleet Marine Force Medic Veteran...... The best thing to take for trauma would be heavy bandages. I really like bandages that have the straps for applying pressure to the wound without having to hold your hand on the wound. Just place the bandage and tie it down tight, but not too...

Your Longest Archery Big Game Kill

The good thing about telling the truth is that you don't care if someone believes you or not, with that said, I'm not here to argue. The man that taught me how to bowhunt is a lifetime bowhunter and guide. He has dropped two, that I can confirm antelope over 100. The farthest that i can...

How much water do you take with you?

What I do is always have a couple of gallons (3-5) in my truck. If I know camp is going to be a great distance >10 miles from truck, I will make trips beforehand and stash water. I want my hunt to be all about chasing animals, not water. I can deal with minimal water, but I move so much...

    First Aid kit contents?

Unit one is an old school Marine Corpsman med bag. TP is what you use to wipe your butt. lol. I just never get injured, and if I do, I always find a way to improvise using what I have. I would take a big med bag if I had a group of people with known conditions.

    First Aid kit contents?

Devil Doc! Not as mean but still a Marine. Funny thing is after 6 years as a FMF Corpsman 1998-2004 all I take to the field is a Unit One. TP is more important to me than dressings. I like staple guns to suture kits for field use.

Slow Twitch, Fast Twitch and Twitchless.

You guys are right on point. A lot of O2 consumption while lifting takes into account what groups are being worked. What was previously mentioned "some lifts can leave you winded with only a couple of repititions." Dead lift and squats do this because (not only what twitch) but the sheer...

    Getting High on VO2Max

Most importantly, BB I thought what you wrote was great. As far as concentrations, I don't know if i'm even smart enough to dig too deep into that sort of thing. I just know that our earths O2 percentage was 21%, Nitrogen 78%, Argon .98%, Carbon dioxide .03%. That doesn't change with...

    Getting High on VO2Max

Interesting thing is.... The oxygen concentration is the same at any altitude. The change of pressure is what makes breathing difficult. 21% at sea level, 21% at any altitude... Sorry, had to dime in from a Respiratory Therapist point of view. Great post though BB. PA02=...
