I haven't hauled any meat with my 3500 but have spent a lot of time backpacking with it loaded with 50 pounds is a breeze. This pack is the greatest pack I have ever used. Super comfortable and very well built.

I have 2 and they both shoot great.

I am shooting 105 Berger VLD's with RL22 at about 3120 FPS out of a 26" tube. The 105's work very well on Antelope and Deer.

What kind of velocity are you getting with the 225 TTSX in the 340?

Thats what I wanted to hear. Do you think the 1-8 twist would be sufficient to shoot the heavies?

My gunsmith scoped it and said the throat was terrible. He cleaned it real good and I took it to shoot again and my best group was about 4" at 200 yards. I like the idea of the 6-284 but was just looking to see if anyone with more experience has better options.

The only problem with going to a 6.5 is I would never shoot my 270. I am leaning more in the .25 or 6mm to have some diversity.

Mine seems to like 250 Sierra Game Kings with a healthy dose of IMR7828 and a FED215 around 2970FPS. Extremely accurate out of my 340. The 225 TTSX's were pretty accurate as well with RL22.

I have a pair of 10x50's and LOVE them. I have had them for about 2 years and used them pretty hard and have had no problems at all. Very clear, no eye strain. I highly recommend them.

I have a Mark V in 340 with a 26" Douglas supreme XX 1-10 twist with Weatherby freebore. I have had great results with the 225 TTSX. I had good results with 7828 but i had great results with H1000 and it is much cleaner burning.

I am almost done with my Mark V build and i need a one piece rail with rings to mount a Leupold VX3 4.5-14. I would like to get 20 MOA in the base but if not i can try to figure that out later. I am just having troubles finding much for the Mark V action.

I was given a rifle and some reloads from a friend of my grandfathers and i don't trust the loads. There is no real marking of what powder bullet primer etc. I want to pull the bullets, dump the powder, and remove the live primers so i can tumble the brass and start fresh. What is the best way...
