Thanks for the advice on all the different powders. Im going to cabelas soon so i'll pick up a few different kinds and see what works the best. Will post my results
Ive got a 300wby with a 24 inch barrel. Im planning on shooting 200gr AB out of it. What is the best powder for this application?? Since its a shorter barrel a slow powder like 7828 or h1000 might not completely burn in that barrel length. What about IMR 4350 or some other medium burning powder...
I have a 36" diameter, 1/2" thick steel cover off of one of those huge fuel tanks. I was wondering if this would work as a 1000yard target? I know it is mild steel, but 1000yds is a long ways.
I'll be shooting a rem700 chambered in 300wby mag. Loaded with 200gr accubonds @ 3000fps!!! Guns got a custom muzzle brake and a millet 4-16x50 scope. An absolute dream to shoot!! The gun already claimed one bull last year! Looking forward to openening day- sept26
I have a millet trs-1, 4-16x50 rifle scope. The illiminated reticle has settings of 1-10 and a nv for night vision. Ive read that the nv mode is for use with night vision accessories. Where would i find night vision that mounts on this scope? If there is such a thing available. Thanks for any help

That is a good point. Ive read a bit about the hybrids. I figure if i shoot the 230gr there will be more bullet incase it encounters heavy bone, should just punch through and then do its magic. My barrel is also 1 in 10twist and berger recomends a 1 in 9 for the 230 hybrid
