Like I said, what you are trying to do with small rifle primer brass is to take the 308 to extreme limits with less reward and more risk. The 277 Fury operates at 80,000 PSI...and that is in gas guns. Just imagine what a 80,000 PSI chambered 308 could do safely. Manufacturers have improved...

Certainly not going to read 92 pages.....however that said, powder performance and bullet BC can only go so far with the current .308 SAAMI specs. Think about what SIG has done with the 277 Fury. Basically same case dimensions as the 308/762x51 yet operates safely at a much higher pressure...

This would be for a LRH rig, so you are right, 400 rounds would probably exceed my lifetime. Plus with using the once fired brass, now I am at 800 rounds. That is if primers ever come back in to reasonably priced stock. As for time, can not really do much with the lockdowns beside work...

Each type of factory stuff I have are the same lot numbers, so 99.9% sure its the same powder. So, If I keep the powder from the lots together I should be ok and record the charge for each. Well, if I have 20 rounds with 70 grains of powder each, that give me 1400 total grains to work with...

Long story short, sold all my 7mm WSM handloading components with the intentions of selling off my custom barrel. Well, things did not go as planned. I was given over 400 rounds of varying factory ammo with having at least 3 boxes of each. Unfortunately, I am unable to buy any new components...

Necking down a .270 WSM would be cheap way to go and get you really close to the mid 70's powder charge. Probably would not even have to neck turn the brass.

I disagree with that wholeheartedly. Really depend on the size of the deer. Culling small does or spikes, pretty much any heavy 22-250 load will work. For largers animal a 78 gr Barnes TSX at 3100 fps.......devastating!

Personally, I feel if your front objective bell is any more than a 1/4" above the barrel, the scope is mount too high. Lower is all ways better.
