I've got H1000 pretty well worked out--ending up single digit ES and averaging 2860 using the Magnetospeed. I'm thinking it's possible to better that in my 30" Hart barrel using H50BMG or Retumbo. Sure appreciate your load experiences--thanks.

Try Retumbo, VV N570 & RL 33.

All will give more velocity, in that order, than H1000.

Thanks Greg, but I'm looking for specific starter loads as an example: 98 grains of H50BMG, 300 Berger OTM, Bertram Brass, Federal 215M. I've been unable to find any variety of loads; seems H1000 dominates. I've got some US869, but like RL33 it's a ball powder and given to wimpy behavior when it gets cold. I carry inside my shirt pocket in winter, but even then shells cool quickly once they hit the frigid steel. I've heard said that H50BMG has the least temp variable of all powders hence my interest.
