I paid $80 for my Redding .25-06 AI 2-die set. I paid $110 for my Redding 3-die .30-06 AI die set.
If you're looking for something cheaper than the 2-die set that has been provided, then good luck!
The AI dies I purchased 2 years ago is now $30 more.

well alrighty then. no need to be rude. Hell I got my 280AI dies for 55.
I just don't see whats different between the 280AI and the 25-06AI as far as making the two.

.280 AI and others like .30-06 AI are more readily available and perhaps the .25-06 AI requires special order and set up. If you call Redding (RCBS etc...), I'm sure they can better explain it to you.

AI dies are only made a few runs a year, as they are not be as popular a selling item as the regular chamber dies, as expected, (according to me talking to Redding a while back). So, basically, since the demand is much lower, the price is higher because they make them, but they don't sell as quickly.
So, I don't complain. Until you have to order a complete custom set of dies or reamers, then you don't know expensive wildcatting.
Just a custom 2 die set of dies for my .300 Ackley is going to be $300 plus, or 2 custom reamers and 2 die blanks are about the same price. So it's a toss-up. LOL

The price of the altered case dies is higher because of the narrower market for them compared to the standard/unaltered case dies. If they sold as many AI dies as their parent case dies they would probably be priced the same, but alas.................

You can use the Lee Collet dies for standard 25-06 because they do not touch the shoulder or walls. Save yourself a lot of money.

I'm pretty sure this is not possible... The shoulder width, height, and angle of a .25-06 AI is so much greater than a regular .25-06, I highly doubt this is even possible. I know you can't use regular RCBS or Redding dies like that, so I am 99% sure Lee would be the same.
You CAN use a .257 Wby neck-sizer die, which I have been using since I am waiting on my Redding .25-06 AI neck sizer die to come in from special order.
