Hey guys. Which of this brands would be more reliable?? Which ones need less case prep??
Norma Brass states they anneal the necks. Is that really so important?? Is Norma brass as uniform as nosler?? Nosler doesn´t mention anything about annealing, I suppose they don´t do it, I just find them to be very uniform.
Never Used Norma Brass before, but was planning on getting some for my .270 WSM

Well.....Seeing as to how Norma makes the brass FOR Nosler, I would say 6 in one hand, ½ dozen in the other.

The Nosler brass will be weight-sorted, chamferred, deburred, flashholes are uniformed, etc... So, that's the reason the Nosler brass costs slightly more.

You can't go wrong with either one. I primarily use Nosler and Lapua.

I have used almost all the different makes of brass (Fed.,Rem, WW) in my 270WSM with the exception of Nosler. The best brass for the WSM'S in my opinion is Norma.

I have used Nosler in other calibers ie(280 Rem, 22-250) and found that it come out of the box uniform and ready to use. However, I have found that it is soft and the primer pockets are easy to stretch. I have heard that Federal makes Nolser brass as well as Norma. I don't know who makes it. What I do know from my experience is that if you want to get 10 or more reloads from your 270WSM it is hard to beat Norma.

I second that. Norma is fantastic brass for the WSMs. I've never used Nosler for the WSM. For the sake of the conversation, though, I currently have virgin Norma and Nosler in 300 RUM cases and when I weighed them out for comparison they came out at 1-2 grains of difference. So I'd say that in the 300 RUM, Nosler and Norma are one and the same with Nosler priced a significant amount less.
