I'm looking at the L1000 with the Nightforce G7 package in a 6.5-284, or 7mmWSM. Who owns one, can you give me your thoughts? Happy with them? Wish you had gone a different direction?

Thanks

I have two now and just sold one. Get the 7 mm LRM. They are absolutely great setups. I just sold my LR 1000 in 7 mm LRM to help pay for a hunt but will be replacing it at the end of the year. I own a LR 1200 in 300 Win with a TI action and carbon bbl for my lighter mountain rifle. Did I mention how **** accurate they are. I also had them build me a 358 Wssm to hunt with a rifle in Indiana ( funny restrictions ) and it is also scarey accurate. Customer service is the absolute best I've ever delt with. Only downfall is the cost.
PM me if you need more info

I own a GAP Non-Typical in 300wsm topped with a NF G7 scope. Absolutely love the entire setup. Close friend has LR1000 in 6.5x284, and it is an absolute lazer! It's my next rifle beyond a doubt. The setup and ergonomics just fit me perfectly. I love my GAP but my next high end long ranger will be the Gunwerks. In addition to the rifle, the G7 scope and rangefinder are fantastic and very intuitive to use. Durability is also top notch! The entire system works as advertised, from ammo to rifle. Go for it, you will not be disappointed!

I have their 6.5x284. What a sweet shooter! It hardly kicks so you don't need a muzzle break...so no dealing with muzzle blast and ringing ears. Last year, I killed two large bull elk with two shots. One was over 750 yds. Neither went more than 20 yards. I had never shot anything smaller than a 300 win mag since I was 12 years old. What an absolute pleasure this "little gun" is to shoot.....and that 140 Berger is DEADLY!

great reviews guys, thank you very much. I bet the wait wouldn't be half as long as waiting for one of George's Non Typicals.

Yes I did. It's ready to be shipped to me. Just need to come up with some cash to make final payment.

I picked up a 7mmLRM in October of last year. I couldn't be happier with the whole thing from top to bottom. I haven't killed any live critters with it yet but have played hell on some baseball and basketball sized rocks from 700-1100 yards. Once you get it let me know what you think of it. I am also headed to the school in June. Looking forward to that as well. Good luck with your new shooting system from Gunwerks. I think your going to love it!

Mike. This will be my second Gunwerks LRM and my forth rifle i have bought from them. I still have three of them. I have owned one for about five or six years now. I'm a customer for life. Lol

Sure. It is a Gunwerks LR1200 Titanium action. Has a Proof research 24 inch bbl plus a muzzle break. Jewell trigger Aluminum components. With talley lightweight rings and a Nightforce 5.5-22x50 scope weighs in at 8.5 pounds. If I change out the scope to the new 2.5-10x42 scope which I do depending on hunt it weighs a few ounces under eight pounds. It shoots lights out and although not super lightweight it handles nicely. Here are a few pics.

Wow that's exactly what I'm looking for. . Now I need to figure out how to fund it.. they are very proud of their rifles aren't they. Buy once cry once I guess. Beautiful rifles you have their.
