Any one have a Douglas barrel? They are about 10 minutes from me. Was thinking about getting a 243 rebarrlled and having another rebarrel to 260. Looking for any feedback on these barrels.

I had a Remington 700 243 rebarreled with a Douglas premium XX air gauge. It has a 1 in 9 1/4 twist and shoots everything into a ragged hole if I do my part, 55 Noslers, 75 and 87 VMax, and 95 bergers. If I had it to do over again I would go with a 1 in 8 twist for the heaver bullets.

That's exactly what I'm thinking. My 243 barrel is pretty new but it's a 10 twist 20" and will not stabilize the 95 VLD. I'd like to be able to shoot the heaviest of bullets if I wanted. Try to work up a better LR load.

Thanks to both of you. Sounds like They are good stuff.
