Here is my parts list for my stw build. Feel free to throw any ideas or point out any work I am missing.

Pre 64 long action I already have. Currently a 300wby.

Love the current stock trigger so it's staying.

Hart 28" fluted heavy sporter 1-9 twist machined and mounted to my action by hart.

Snowy mtn brake

Manners EH-1 with pillars installed. I'll have it bedded

20 MOA rail

Vortex viper pst 6-24x50

Looks like you're on the right track to me. Don't forget a good base & rings in there. I suggest EGW bases and the Vortex rings.

77 views and not even a "you're on the right track" or "you're way off"? Guess I'll just go with it.

Because STW owners have already provided tons on information that was previously covered, just ...

LRHcustomsearch_zpsa1485285.jpg

"They" even made it easier and created a forum just for it. Most often than not, I am overwhelmed with helpful information when I utilize the custom search and find myself not needing to post a query thread.

None of the items in your list would be my 1st choice but like Mud said, you're in the right track ... 77 views with 77 different recommendations makes your decision 77 times harder ... and yes go for it!

On my last build, I worked very closely with my gunsmith and the barrel maker.

At the end of the day, it boils down to a personal choice and budget.

Good luck!

Ditto, although I really like the TPS TSR Rings as well and they have yet to fail me on any of the rifles I'm using them on.

Manners makes a good stock no doubt but before I wrote them a check I'd take a long, hard look at the Precision Stockworks Stocks and McMillan HTG or A3 hunter.

I use TPS TSR rings as well. But the Vortex rings are made by Seekins, so they're great products as well. I just figured it would add a little custom touch using the Vortex rings with the Vortex scope.

I've got a set of the Vortex as well and so far so good, I just don't have as much experience with them and I absolutely love the self alignment of the TPS rings.
