I took this coues buck on Monday morning right at 500 yards.

I was shooting my new 300 Win Mag with Noslers new 210 grn Long Range Accubond. The bullet liked being pushed hard with my best groups at a muzzle velocity of 2860 fps. At 500 yards the velocity should have been around 2250 fps. The buck was quartered to me, I hit him right behind the shoulder, the bullet broke a few ribs, traveled about 2 ft through the bucks body and stopped just inside the hide of his opposite hind quarter. Below is a pic of the recovered bullet. Good looking mushroom with the solid base holding the bullet together. Weight of the bullet is 103 grn so approximately 50% weight retention.

Congrats on a really nice looking coues buck. I am glad you put the info on the bullet up. We are having a discussion on this bullet right now. Thanks

Great buck and congratulations!!!! Outstanding.:D

Thanks for taking the time to post real world hunting results with the 210. That's about what I would have expecting from this bullet. Great performance for this job! Good selection+great shot=EXCELLENT hunt.

Way to go man. I found the 210 lrab today but I'm gonna get just a box to test to seeing the gun likes it. Of so , gonna get 50 boxes of em here locally. Hope it works out.

Great shot!

Thanks for all the kind responses everyone. I look forward to testing the bullet on a bigger animal but as you all know, an Arizona elk tag can be hard to come by, even for a resident.

On another note, a G7 BC of 0.318 is what I have settled on.

Great report. That was going to be my next question. I have been using a G7 BC of .303. I have shot it out to 1025 yards and so far this has worked for me. Since I could not find any bullets to load I am using Nosler Trophy Grade 210 ABLR .300 RUM at an average muzzle velocity of 3027 fps.

Nice shot, and nice buck. Congratulations. I have shot a half dozen deer and antelope using the Berger Hunting 210's at 400-600 yards and have had spotty performance. While I have had great results with my 6.5x284 with 140 VLD's, I'm not impressed with the 210 Bergers which are penciling through on broadside shots. Have you done any LR comparison work to establish the BC of .318? That's pretty close to the Berger BC of .323 and would definitely warrant giving the LR AB's a try.

Most of my shooting has been from 200-500 yards. My elevations at those ranges were perfect using .318. Furthest I have gone is 890 yds. 3 shots hitting about 1.5 moa at that distance and on target. The gun is 0.5 moa at 200 yards. I definitely need to do some more testing but am getting close.

Thanks. Having now seen a few shooters claiming the BC with the 210 AB's coming in close to the Bergers, I'm going to get acquire some and see how they pan out for next years hunting season. I'm wondering if anyone has experienced expansion of the 210 AB's on game at velocities in the 1600-1800FPS range.
