im sorry for turning this into a teaching moment at your expense but it is with good intentions. your honesty is admirable and will possible allow others some pause for thought which may result in more ethical shots. you conceded that the shot was a little far back, i imagine the wind was the larger variable responsible. i ask all to consider, what could have happened if the bullet weighed less and/or had a less desirable bc? one needs to be honest with their understanding of the variables present and be prepared in the face of pressure to rise above the influence and do whats logical. i do not mean to imply you whimsically touched your shot off and i do understand most would consider the hunt a success. but to be a several inches off with bullet that bucks the wind better than most should leave one asking questions.
