Hey guys . I am a newbe here posting but been a member for awhile now. I just picked up some Nosler accubonds 160 gr. But now I need some powder. I believe I have some R22 and H 870 but I wanted to to try some H 1000. Anyone have an idea where I can find some powder. I have tried all my local and not so local resources to no avail. Thanks

You could try online. Powder Valley, Midwayusa, or Graf & Sons. down side will be cost of shipping. Hazmat isn't cheap.

yes , hazmat would be a little pricey but I am in desperation. I need to get a load up and going soon. I guess I will try a load with the two powders I have. Any one with some suggestions. I have some R22 and H870 . thanks

what is your pill weight, etc. ??? I've worked with 4 of these pipes, and most of the others here have similar experience.
You can use some **** slow powders in the stw if you put enough pill on top, and those don't seem to be sold out at present. rl50 and wc867 are in stock at wideners in kegs so if you want a 160-175 grain slug you are actually in luck.

will be using a nosler accubond 160 gr. barrel length is 26". I have some cci large magnum primers. I have found some R50 but dont have a powder charge for it or the Wc867

Several of the guys here have played around with the 50 BMG powders, so I'm sure they would be able to help you out with load data.

With the 171 barnes match last fall I was running 86 grains rl50 for right at 3100 fps from my 24" bbl.. I'd start around 82 grains and walk her up into the 88 grain range for your 160. I don't really recommend the wc872 and 867 powders in the stw but they can often be used. aa 8700 data would be an appropriate approximation for data. I've seen both good and bad from the 50 cal ball powders in this round- I'd hate for you to get a keg and have it puke for you. The stick powders are good and usually have great accuracy.

I use hodgon us869 in mine with 160 accubonds with 92.0grn powder and rem mag primers and have had good luck with it but it has a 31.5 in. barrel dont know if that makes a difference or not but idont see anyone else us that slow of powder i plcked it because it was a real slow powder listed for the 7stw before i found this sight

thanks for the replies gents. I am going to try the R50. Now just need to find the time to work some loads as I am right in the middle of hay season.
