Shooting 2060 Yards! 1.17 Miles 338 Lapua

Hey Guys! A couple days ago I went out and did some of my best shooting ever, at 2060 yards! I was shooting my savage 110 BA chambered in 338 Lapua with 300gr Berger OTM's at a steel torso target. Out of a total of 18 rounds fired I landed 4 solid hits. I probably would have done better but I had no idea I was hitting the target so a few times I dialed off after hitting. Time to get a better spotting scope now! Made a short video of the shoot, hope you enjoy!

That was some great shooting
It is hard to see impact at those ranges, you can see from your video that there is not alot of dust coming off the ground whenh you have a near miss.

There is a long range shooting event next weekend here in Norway, and we have a 20"x20" steel plate at 2061 yards. I will make a video from when we are shooting at it. I will use a 300 win mag, shooting the 230 grs Bergers.

Thanks! I'd love to see the video you make! Nothing gets my blood going like long range shooting! Those Bergers are a good choice, they seem to fly really well at long ranges.

It's a 720p small hand held camera I picked up on ebay for $10. It has a cracked lcd screen but it shows enough to let me position the camera where I need to. I just push record and it gives me just enough time to get back and shoot the shots. Also have another cam for the gun shooting that is 720p, almost the same type as the target cam.

I must say I'm jealous that's pretty good at over a mile what setup are you using scope wise assuming nightforce one day I'll have mine setup to go that distance just sidetracked with my 6.5x284

The scope is the nightforce nxs 5.5-22x56 mil/mil with the mlr reticle, it is sitting on a 30 moa ken farrell base. Thanks for the comment!

I have the same setup except I have egw 20moa base guess I need to find a good open peice of desert and start practicing thanks for the quick reply
