About as bad as any other single base powder. Get a sharpie and write EXTREME on the side of the bottle if it bothers you.
I've got 120 degree temp swings here in North Dakota and use little Hodgdon powder. I use reloader when possible, and imr for the most part otherwise.

That made me laugh, I agree fully with your comments. I too have had great success with the RL brands (especially RL 19). I've pushed RL 22 too hard & ended up with pressure on a 90*+ day. I've got even money that says "Extreme Powder" wouldn't have saved that day.
If you've got it & like it, use it. I usually work up my loads (when I can) on hot days just to be safe, then you know it'll work at any temp. Chrono in the fall/winter & see what happens. You may be surprised.

I got a surprise at the last Townsend shoot. I was repeatedly shooting over all the targets with my 6mmbr at 600 yards. This rifle shoots bug holes at these distances.
Then a little later as we were testing the magneto speed through my Oehler 35 the problem was reveiled. This rifle that shoots 107 smk's at 2775 fps in fall weather with a very low ES, was now shooting 2820 fps. Yep bitten by good ole RL15. This is the only rifle I still have shooting RL or IMR powders.
I will be changing it soon. I strive for first round hits at long range, this is where the temp sensitive powder have failed me and why I believe in Extreme powders. Now that I have a good chronograph I have been logging what they really do and I know why I like the H powders. It is right there in front of me.

Gun powder is a chemical compound. ALL chemicals are temp sensitive to some degree.

And from scope to trigger guard, all metal is temp sensitive.
I varmint hunt when it's hot.
So to help be prepared, much of my load development was with a warm barrel, and I always put/carry loaded ammo in my front pants pocket(at the bench or hunting).

Yup, hodgdon has got it nailed by putting the word "extreme" on every bottle. I've got a couple of hundred 25 wssm's loaded with 100 grain sierra bullets and h4895 that will do 3050 fps at freezing( or slightly lower) an by 100 degrees they are at 3150 fps. Pretty **** extreme if you ask me since I only get 60 fps over a 100 degree swing with my 300 win and rl22.

That should be just about right for shooting running deer at 500 to 600 yards with 30 mph cross winds off hand. If I had your skill sets I would use RL powders too.

. I actually sight my rifle in as insurance before I hunt it. I'll have my brother take a vid. of the shot this year so you can put in on disk and mount it on your wall.Broz

I think I've got the new 7 ready to go lately. If I get a good tag and my brother's with I'll put the vid. up for you. We were chatting about doing that after the last thread anyway. I'll probably bounce on anything with antlers this year though as n.d.'s tag count is down and I don't have more than a few points built up. If you could get past peeing your pants watching me roast a doe with one of my 7's or 30's I'll try to get a vid..

Since the topic of the thread seems to have devolved into broz worrying about who is talking about me behind my back I'll simply dropping off the thread and let him talk to his "friends". The movie castaway comes to mind here.
Good luck O.P..... sight in your rifle first and you'll be fine with dang near any powder.
