I am looking for some berger 215 hybrid hunters. I am having a hard time finding them anywhere. I have a bunch of berger 165 vld hunters. If someone has a half box or a whole box for sale, that would be great, or maybe a lead on a store that has them. I'm not even sure they exist! I have heard a lot of people talk about them, but they are not even listed on bergers web page. Maybe someone could shed some light on this for me and where I could get some! lol Thanks guys, oh, they are going on my 300WM

I just ordered 2 boxes from third generation shooting supply((a sponser here)They showed a ton of em in stock.

I will have to give them a call tomorrow, I looked and they only showed 2 different berger 308s in stock, neither were 215 hunters. do you have a part number by chance? they show to have hybrid targets but not hybrid hunters?

I was not aware of any 215's being hunter approved yet. But have not checked. I have bought quite a few and never seen a orange box of 215s

The only Bereger 215 I know of is the Target Hybrid BC .696 yellow box. This is the bullet we tested last fall in my 300 win on 19 big game kills and the bullet I choose to hunt with.

I should have clarified. I have not seen a orange box of berger 215. I was stating that berger has not approved it yet. We have shot animals with them as well. Sometimes I think the thicker jacket is better for controlled expansion, or better penetration. Just my own opinion.

I would agree with you on that. We have seen it in some "target" bullets before.

After reading through Broz threads and talking with him, I believe I have picked the bullet that will suit my hunting conditions, the 230 OTM. ordered two boxes from brunos, hopefully it wont take the 6 weeks to ship them, already waiting for one order since February 2.

A Fed 215 M primer, and start with 70 gr of H-1000 working up toward 75 watching for pressure. I would seat .015" off the lands to start. Should get you 2775 fps from a 28" tube. May not sound fast but it will be faster just past 1000 than a 210 that started at 2900 plus.

Good luck
Jeff

Ordered by 230 OTMs last week from Brunos and they arrived yesterday. Received a phone call from Mr Bruno askling if he could ship me the 100 count boxes instead of the 250 because he had some sort of issue with the qtys in the 250's. I said as long as they were the same lot number. He assured me they would be and they arrived as promised.
