I can't say much about the USO level as I've never been around one. I can tell you what a handful of us use & have had really good luck with. I strongly recommend the FlatLine Ops level. You can get one right here from Len in the LRH Store:

These things are bad to the bone & very well built. I also have a Holland which is a good unit. The FlatLine has two advantages over the Holland:
1. If folds out of the way when not in use however, can still be used in the folded position.
2. The FlatLine is FAR easier to set as it employs set screws under the magnets to fine tune the bubble level (genius).

Mark, I recommend you try a FlatLine. For me, they've replaced all other models.

They do look pretty slick TJ. A little on the spendy side but maybe worth it. I'm a little leary of the moving parts for shooting in the field, but I guess they've worked OK for you.

So you guys prefer a tube mounted level to a rail mount? I like the rail mount for visibility and ease to set up.

Jeff, when I shot your 338, I thought it had a tube mount? Maybe my memory is slipping. I'm assuming that a rail mount can't be "tucked in". If that's the case, I don't like anything sticking out. I like as clean a configuration as possible. Set up is fairly easy, I do it when I mount the scope which I use a plumb bob and line for.

So far, they are working flawlessly. They incorporate magnets to hold the level in either position & have set screws under those magnets to fine tune the level; which makes it WAY easier to install.
Plus, made in the USA!!! Something that will I try **** hard to have stamped on everything I own.

Which rail mounted levels are you referring to? I have only used one kind of rail mounted level, I went on the cheap, bought a B-Square (I think). It went back into the package & stashed relatively quickly.
I've had really good luck with visibility & the FlatLine. The others that mount directly on top of your tube, not so much.

The last Carhart cap I bought I found out was made in China and the last jacket and jeans were made in Mexico. I buy for quality and function first and if a US made product is equal in those areas I don't mind paying a littl extra. Growing up in the 60's and 70's I saw American manufacturing quality plumet in favor of profit. At the same time I saw Japanese quality rise and surpass American quality. When American manufacturers got the hint that American consumers preferred quality, then quality started improving.
In these times, there is almost nothing that is purely made in the USA. It's a world economy and usually some, most or all the parts are made overseas if it's assembled here.
If I'm looking for a car, I'll look at Audi, Toyota, Honda or Subaru. If I'm looking for a Truck, I'll get a Ford
and it might be made in Canada Back to the level... it only takes a minute or two for me to mount my bubble level and when it's done, it's solid with a small profile. I do see some benefit for the flip out type but there's always tradeoffs.

I hear ya about the B-square. But I find it among the most visible to my eyes with the large bubble. I like it a little better than the US O's , but for sure the US O is higher quality and the price reflects it. I have had two B-squares the glue let loose and the bubble tube slid out. I dab of clear silicon in the back will hold them forever and can't be seen after the tube is put back. I have to admit, I have never had a problem with the B-squares other than that. They do work well for me.
You guys are going to laugh at this one. I actually have set up with both. I prefer the side rail for most shots but have found when shooting down at extreme angle I can see the ring mount better. After installing the ring top levels I put the rail mount back on till I got use to the cap mount. That's when I notices it was nice having both so I left them.
