What to use instead of Varget?

Since there is no Varget to be had anywhere, what would y'all recommend to use in place of it for 70gr and 75gr bullets out of 24" bbl 223Remington?

Alliant AR Comp might be a good substitute.

IMR 4064 is just a tad slower but could work--depending what you need for velocity. Might be just as hard to come by.

IMR4064 and RL15 have very similar burn rates, and may work well. I've had to switch to the IMR4064 instead of Varget in a couple rifles and have been pleased with the results. It doesn't meter well, but I weigh charges anyway so no big deal for me.

I got a couple pounds of Varget saved up, and they're specifically for my .308. I guess now that they aren't planning on an assault weapons ban anymore (just announced it today), that maybe all our reloading stuff can go back to normal.

Ive got a little more than 1 1/2 pounds...but I use it in 22-250....243...and 260. Not sure what Im going to stick in my 25-06AI when I get them all fireformed???

You get a 308?

RL15, VV N540, H4895, IMR4064, IMR4320, BENCHMARK are all great 308 powders. Faster lots of H4350 work very well too.
