So, there you are. About to take the shot. You are laying prone, have your long range rifle with that obnoxious brake, you are acquiring the target and.........wait! Where are my friggin ear plugs????
Well, here they are.
I approached a couple of companies at the shot show a couple of years ago to market this idea and they basically told me there was no money in it for them. So, I finally got around making this for myself. You'll always have them with your rifle. I shot a buck a couple of years ago with a braked 338 ultra and i could not hear for a couple of days. I'm a leftie so this example is on a left handed rifle. I made the plug carrier from heavy duty elastic that has a strip of rubber on the side that goes against the rifle so it really stays put and the pouch is made from hyaplon. It is real handy for those that don't use a stock pack. If there is interest for them, I'll talk to Len and see if he wants to carry them in the LRH store.

Randy,

We gotta get together. You have as many ideas as I do. Though your ideas are different than mine both increase the shooting/hunting experience.

I had never really thought of that; useful to say the least, could really help a guy out of a sticky situation. I hear you on the braked magnums w/o ear pro.... I did it with a Lazzeroni Patriot & White Tail buck.... that was not a good idea

Always happy to see another south paw.... **** fine scenery too, I might add.

Is there anything to keep it from falling off the back of the stock as you walk around? Could a loop, elastic or otherwise, be added to attach around the rear sling stud just in case?

Just thinking out loud.

Actually, the elastic holds it really well as you have to stretch it to put it on plus the forward slope of the stock keeps it from sliding backwards. I thought about putting it over the swivel stud but it seems that the measurement on those varies from gun to gun--i asked that question here on the forum.
