When they are to the back of the mag they feed just fine. But after a shot they move forward and will not feed. They are going under the feed ramp. Is it a dumb Idea to trim a little bit off the feed ramp? It seems they are going under about half the gap of what you see between the tip of the bullet and the mag in the pictures above.

I dont really want to mess with the seating depth as they are shooting GREAT

I can't see the pics, so I am having trouble completely understanding the issue. You may want to consult a gunsmith on shortening the ramp - should be pretty cheap work and the upfront opinion is valuable too.

Is there a way to fill the gap? Seems that would be more reversible than grinding metal.

If I'm seeing right, the bullets are sitting nose downward.
All of my rifles hold the ammo bullet end upward, so the bullet almost drags on the bolt as the bolt closes.

If you're not comfortable filing on the mag, take it to a gunsmith for a mag adjustment. If you're going to try filing the mag lips yourself, go SLOW. A little file stroke changes things a lot. :D

Been there...got a T shirt. :D

Yes you need to trim the ramp that is part of fitting AI / Badger type DM bottom metal. I shoot accurate mags with that spacer plate ramoved from the mag so my ramp needed to be trimmed even more to take advantage of the 2.980 mag.

Clayne B tale me about your gun. Whats it weight ? What cal. is it ? How long of Barrel ? Is the stock all 6061 Billet Alu. Is the stock real cold to hold when it gets cold out and hot to hold in the summer ? Would you by another one again ? Can you put a longer clip that will go out to 3.9 for berger bullets ? Is it noisy if bump agaisnt something. Thanks for your time. Joe

Guessing around 14 pounds.
.308
26 inches
Not sure what type of aluminum
Yes it gets hot and cold. a cheek pack will fix that
Yes I will buy another one
3.9 inches would be a long action I would think.
Bumping into things. No its not like a tuning fork.
