284 winchester, 162 grain A-Max, COAL of 3.185 which would be touching the lands, 26" barrel. Can you give me the max charge for H4350 at max pressure (54,000 CUP i believe, and i just want a ballpark max charge) and muzzle velocity? Thanks!!

Me too.

My new build is in 284 Win.
Expect I'll have all the same reloading issues as barnesuser.

Thanks in advance.
We can help each other figure out what we are doing wrong! I think max will be around 56 grains of h4350 or a little less.

Thats what hodgdon says too, but it is a compressed charge, and since i am running a really long throat, i think i will be able to use a little more powder SAFELY.

I am using a LA savage, even with the 195 berger seated where it should be, i will still have about .1 left in the mag. How much free bore you going with?

Don't know yet.

I'm still lapping lugs, but I'm getting closer. :D

Won't know until I get this Brux barrel chambered and measured.

You going to use Lapua brass? If so measured rounds will be about .313 unturned. I went with a .310 bushing. And have you decided what barrel length?

So far I've got Winny brass. Maybe Lapua next.

Thinking about using a 24 inch barrel.

Still looking for a light weight stock for hunting.

I was going to go with a 24" barrel but this is going to by my midweight long range rig so i decided on 26" (with the help of vegas steve) for a little more velocity to reach out on a antelope at 1k and coyote waaay out there.

For me, this will be my light weight hunter.

The Brux is a #3...probably finish at 24".

Hoping for 6 1/2 lbs plus scope.

Getting tired of those featherweight Magnums trying to
give me a "scope eye". :D

I'll need to open the box to see what twist the Brux is.

Probably 1-9

Put a #4 at 26" on my 7 saum. Kinda a 284 +P.

Do you have your barrel yet?
