Hey so I was going through the forums and there are some threads over .260 loads, but there's a lot of extra nonsense that doesn't need to be there. I'm trying to get a list of some successful loads consolodated down; so if anyone has a successful load that they want to share please do! Share a little about your rifle, the exact loads and what kind of groups you are getting with them. The rifle I'm having made has a trued 700 action with a 24" fluted benchmark barrel with a .83 contour at the muzzle and 8.5" twist. Also, any advice for a new .260 owner would much appreciated. Thanks!

Vanguard action 26 in rock creek varmint contour cut with manson reamer nosler match 140 and 40 grains of RL17 quarter min groups a true pleasure to shoot. You wont be dissapointed

I have a Custom 260 rem model 7 22inch Mcgowen I use 45GR of IMR 4350 this is very accurate and 3000FPS . 210 FED primers bullet seated to just fit mag box. Sierra 120 MK. I also use 44.5 GR4530 with Barnes 120 TTSX very awesome hunting load always FEd primers. Both loads nice little clover leafs at 100yards

The thing with reloading for any rifle, or any caliber is that each rifle has its own personality if you want to call it that. 2 identical rifles can perform totally different with the exact same load. So, despite reading what everyone else loads up, you will have to find the right load for your rifle, if you want to maximize accuracy.
Other shooters loads can be good for reference.

That said,
I have a Sako 85 in 260 that will shoot these loads amazing,
40gr Varget pushing 130gr Berger VLD's, CCI magnum primers.

44gr Varget pushing 95 gr Hornday V-max's, CCI Mag Primers is my go to Varmint load.

50gr of H1000 pushin 139gr Lapua Scenars, CCI Magnum Primers is my Target load.

All loads in Lapua Brass. All of these will shoot under 1/2moa and the target load under 1/4moa.

Don't try other peoples loads without safely working up to them. Like accuracy, each and every rifle can handle different pressure levels.

I agree that no two are the same. So here is what my 30" Bartlein 1-8.5" tw. Savage F-Class shoots very well. 46.3 gr. H-4831sc under a 139 gr. Scenar 210/M primer. Lapua case. Vel. is slow for the 260 but under 1/2" 5 shot groups @ 100 yds. Hope this helps somewhat. ........SEMPER FI

My .260 is new to me (180 rds ) The load i have for a 120 gr. A-MAX is controversal to many on the net but it has worked for me. 30" Bartlein 8.5" twist Savage F-Class. My load is 47.0 gr. Superformance,210/M, 243 win. case necked up. Bullet seated 12 thou. off. .250 for 5 shot @ 100 yds. 3100+ fps. I started at 45.0 and you should too if you want to try this powder / bullet combo. SEMPER FI!
