25'06 loads

Hello im farily new to reloading I have done some reloading the past few weeks and i shoot 25'06 im looking for a hot load here is what I shoot and the powders i have. I do have the Nosler #7 book but it does not have these two powders for the 115gr. I would like to be around 3100fps no less that 3,000fps. I have been looking into IMR 4350 AND IMR 4831 but everyone is sold out with those powders.

The best load I have for H4831 with a 115 gr berger is 54.3 gr with a 210M primer. I have found the Fed 210M primers are hotter than the CCI200 and about the same as CCI250 primers.
Of course start low and work up looking for pressure.

h4350 works very well with this rifle.. I have a savage model 110.. 24 inch barrel.. i shoot the 110 accubonds at around 3150... 1 hole 5 shot groups as 100.. have shot thisload out to 500 wih great results but its hot.. every couple shots geta little stiff bolt lift.. start low work up.. try superformance powder also it works well in the 2506.. not sure the partition is the best bullet to try and achieve these results with but Icould be wrong

I think the BR2's are very close to the 210m. I was about 3200 fps with that load, 26" barrel.
Another load, that I didn't mention because you asked about the powders you already have, is 55.2 of RL22 with a CCI 250 primer.
I have yet to shoot the RL22 in warm temps so not sure how it will do this summer but this winter it has been fantastic.

As 8andbait mentioned RL-22 if you can find some is about the best going for the 25 and the 115gr bullet IMO.

I tried about all of the "BEST" powders back in the late 80's when I got my standard version up and running. It was an off the shelf Rem 700, and shot like a house afire from day one. I used IMR-4831 to easily hit the mid 3300's with the 100gr BT and Partition and used IMR-4350 for the Sierra load for about the same velocity all from a 24" stock barrel. When I worked up the load for the 115gr Partition and switched to RL-22 it was simply magic on everything I put them on.

With the 115's I used the RL-22 over the Win WLR, well actually I used the Win to light off everything BUT the Sierra load which used the CCI-BR2.

After many years of sticking for the most part to the 115 Partition I decided to give that rifle to my daughter. It just so happened that Nosler had just come out with the AB and I picked up a box of the 110's to try out. I didn't change anything from the 115gr load except the bullet when I seated the 110's. The first three shots at 200yds we actually had to ride out to distinguish they all went through the one ragged hole. I loaded her up 50 of them and delivered it to her on Christmas.

Since then she and the grandson have both taken a few VERY nice deer using it. It isn't quite as up to the bigger hogs as the heavier Partition so she will be switching back to it for this years hunting and will probably stick with it from now on out. If the rifle were still mine I would be still shooting the same ol load year in and year out as I always did. I can still put them into one ragged hole or VERY close to it out to 250 - 300yds with it even after all these years.

I moved on however and built myself a bit faster version in a 28" 25-06 AI. Now with that one I am becoming as fond of the 120gr Remington CL bullet, as I was with the Partition. Only time will tell if I stick with it or not.

I wish you all the best with yours, I just wished that things weren't so crazy right now and that things were more easily attainable. Sick with the slower powders and you will find happiness.

Ditto. I shoot the exact same load. I don't recall my oal but same load otherwise. The 25-06 likes to be run hot in general. All of the accurate loads I have found have been right around max pressures. In mine the bt and partition are pretty much interchangable.

As has been said that 25-06 likes to run right at max loads. I have used this load for 20 years to kill a couple hundred deer with and can about count on one hand those that have even taken a step after taking the bullet.
49 grs IMR 4350, CCI 250 primer, Rem case, 117 Sierra Pro Hunter 20 thousands off the lands. Shoots bug holes and averages 3000 fps from Shilen 26" barrel.
For 115 to 120 gr bullets 52 grs H4831 usually really shoots and averages around 3000 - 3100 fps.

Never been a big fan of the 25-06 had not good results on deer with heavy bullets shot several deer with 120 and 117 bullets have had better luck with 100 grain bullets imr 4350 52 gr and H4831 with 54 gr am getting ready to try to like it better than did 20 years ago
