shooting a 7mm RUM sendoro stainless. 1-10 twist. If i go 180g vld. needing about a 1-9 twist to 1-8. from what i know limited knowledge on long range shooting. 1000yrd+. if i go to heavy bullet 180g on paper seems like a logical choice. looking for a good place to start. will be upgrading to better barrel down the road catered better for long range 800 to 1000+. Have a 30.06 for closer stuff. any wisdom will be appreciated.gun)

factory sendero 7mm should have a 1-9. i shot 180 out mine; too much kick and moved to 168. the 140 are good too .

thanks roninflag. how far are you shooting? 500 to 800 yrds? wanting a bullet to reach out further 1000 or further, with some predictability. gathering parts and hope to get this thing a shooting soon. new bell carlson stock 2098 on the way and a vortex viper 6.5x 24x scope and rings coming. will be bedding the stock/ lugs. shot this 7mm for awhile and will upgrade to a better barrel and modify the twist to suit the 180g bullets? waiting on parts sucks! time to quit talking theory and get some hands on.

do not under stand your 1-10 barrel. 40x take-off? the numbers for a 140 are suprising to some. at least to 600 or so. equalling the 168. i have shot the 168 to 1000. it was great . my son- inlaw won his first match (1k) shooting the 168 berger. if you have a 1-9 twist the 180 drop/windage numbers will better with it . little finicky though to get to shoot. 1000 plenty far enough for me . my brother shoots his 300rum further. not much success though.
