I was able to get a lower CMMG half MK3 Mod 11. What do you guys think I shopuld try and build. The purpose I think would be a standard hunting rifle shooting out to 600 yards. I would like to keep it to no custom barrels just upper halves of stripped uppers.

I also was able to get a stripped lower AR15. I am torn between building a light weight pink gun for my fiance or a piston driven pistol.

And yes I know AR15.com is the better place to put this but I like this forum better.

Go with the 6.5 Creedmore. Great ballistics, good pill selection too. I hope you find still find one, they all seemed to have vanished suddenly:D. Let us know what you end up with.

AR15.com is the worst place in the world to go! CMMG follows the DPMS pattern so you will need one of their upper receivers. Any AR 10 pattern barrel will work, GOOD LUCK FINDING ANYTHING.

Looks interesting. I might have to consider this. Or maybe even a 243.

I will just have to wait. I already have the lower receiver and stock shipping so I know I got the most important part. Now it's just a waiting game. The only issue would be a "flash suppressor" which is the dumbest thing to ban.

ICANHITHIMs right! As to the suppressor, why not just swap between a thread protector and suppressor. Best of both worlds.

I would use the Surefire muzzle break and Surefire suppressor. Surefire muzzle breaks work extremely well as does the supressor! Great AR combo.

I am also in the process of gathering parts for my AR-10 build. Building mine off the Mega-Manten platform. I am going with the 260 because I think the brass might be a little easier to come by.

The only thing I was thinking was that the 260 brass would be easier to come by than the 6.5 Creedmoor. But the way thinks are right now you probably can't find any brass right now for any flavor AR.

Well in that regard I think your right. But since we can make 260 bras from any 30-06 based case we are good. Maybe we can even do that with creedmore I don't know its parent case.
